About Me
My name is Simone Watt-Cunningham, a passionate educator and mentor who has answered the call to teach and inspire others. With experience as a tutor, teacher and nanny, I've found joy in helping students of all ages grow and thrive. My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to explore new ideas and ventures, and take pride in creating engaging and innovative learning experiences. When I'm not teaching, you can find me travelling, going for walk, playing with my dogs, looking up DIY's, reading or enjoying quality time with love ones. While I have a playful and jovial side, I also believe in setting boundaries and following through ( flexibility is necessary for each situation). Above all family is at the heart of all I do. I am a lifelong learner, a creative problem-solver, and a dedicated mentor who is committed to helping others achieve their full potential. I am proud to have answered the call to teach and mentor, I look forward to continuing to making a positive impact in the lives of my students.
Education
I have a Degree in Education, an associate degree, I also hold a CDA, Staff credentials, among many other certificates .
Teaching Experience
Highly experienced educator with 19 years of teaching expertise both online and in-person from grades k-9. I hold a BSC in Education, Tesol certificate, CDA, nursing diploma, among others, with a proven track record of teaching ELA, math, phonics, reading and general studies to students of various ages, including children here, Jamaica and China. I was also a principal, Lead Teacher, supervisor and oversaw the junior administrative department. I pride myself to being able to adapt my teaching style to my students learning styles to ensure optimal, personalized and effective leaning experiences while catering to the holistic development of each student.
Interests
I enjoy walking, being with my family, reading, diy's, gardening, going to the beach and traveling
